Game Spotlight: 2019 Le Pelley Cup 2

For the 2019 Le Pelley Cup, we experimented a bit with the format.  Instead of having players sign up for the section of their choice, after the deadline the top 8 players according to FIDE rating were placed in Group A.  The rest were in Group B.  This resulted in a strong top section, and a second section with some interesting surprises.  Chief among these was Jay Naker, who won the group on tiebreaks with a score of 3/4 despite being unrated.  Here’s the game that sealed the win for him.

Our next tournament is coming up in about a week, but it won’t be at Goan Gymkhana.  Instead it will happen through our club on chess.com  Sign up over there if you want to take part.
