Nairobi Chess Club meets weekly on Saturdays at the Goan Gymkhana Club along Ngara Road and our doors are open to anyone with an interest in chess. Our club has been known for organizing various chess tournaments since its inception. In recent years we have started to organize lessons and activities for our members to help them improve their game.
Membership Fees for 2025/2026
- Anyone interested can join Nairobi Chess Club. New members pay KSh. 4,500. Annual renewals for members will pay Ksh. 4,000.
- To promote inclusivity we offer concessions to lady players at KSh. 3,500 joining with a renewal fee of Kshs. 3,000 yearly
- University and colleges students join at Kshs. 3,000
- We also have a Family package at KSh. 8,500, with renewals at Kshs 7,000
A ‘family’ is constitute;- a). parent(s) + child(ren) – not more than 5 persons
- b). guardian + 3 juniors of 18years old or less
- As implied above membership is offered for a calendar year for ease of administration and becomes due for renewal on 1st January.
- Payment to Nairobi Chess Club can be made by Mpesa using Paybill 910200 and Account no. 2140014265.
