Traps, Tricks & Mistakes: Poisoned Pawn

All chess manuals give the same advise: “Do not develop your queen early in the game.” In chess, every rule has an exception. In the Najdorf variation of the Sicilian Defense, Black plays the queen already in 7th move intending to capture the white pawn on b2. It was a Bobby Fischer’s favourite variation when playing Black. But it is important to remember the right move order.

The theory of Sicilian Defense is abundant. Players not used to that opening, have to be careful about the move order. If they mixed the moves, they can be the victim of nasty traps.
