Game Spotlight: 2019 Capablanca Cup 1

The 2019 edition of the Capablanca Cup took place this past weekend.  A group of 62 players participated in two groups: Open and Under 1700 FIDE rating.  I’ll be looking at games from the winners over the next few weeks, but thought I’d start out with one of the more unusual games.  King walks in the middlegame don’t happen often.  King walks for defensive purposes, as in this selection, are even rarer.
