Efim Dmitryevich Bogoljubov (1889-1952) was a Russian chess master who won numerous events. He also played two matches against Alexander Alekhine for the World Championship.
Emil Joseph Diemer (1908-1990) was a German chess master who played many unorthodox openings like the Diemer-Duhm Gambit or the Alapin-Diemer gambit. But he is most famous for his refinements of the Blackman-Diemer gambit.
Bogoljubov played the following game against Diemer in a simul exhibition in 1933.
