Traps, Tricks & Mistakes: Blunder in Postal Chess

Today’s example is a game played in 1900 under the modality of postal chess.

Maybe you will think that players in postal chess have plenty of time to prepare their moves. Follow the game and you will see that even in this modality of chess, players make blunders.

Keep in mind that this game was played more than 100 years ago. At that time communications were not so fast and effective as they are today. So, why White made such a blunder? Did he suffer from time pressure? Did he play too many post games simultaneously? Or simply he lost the thread? Probably we will never know. Chess is a mysterious and difficult game and clear is that it demands 100% concentration (even in postal chess!)
