Game Spotlight: Second NCC Online Tournament 4
In a final selection from the second Nairobi Chess Club tournament on Chess.com, we see some nice work on the part of kayfinesse, playing Black. First, in playing the endgame, but perhaps more notably, in showing patience in the middlegame. It’s a mark of a higher level of play to know when you can temporarily give up a pawn in the middlegame, knowing that you’ll be able to get it back later.
We have a match coming up against Region IV-A Chess Online. Join at our Chess.com club or just join the club to get details as more events get organized.
After two years, I’ll be handing over the reins of this column to our executive committee member Willy Simons. Thanks to all for reading. Stay inside, stay safe (while following WHO guidelines), and enjoy the Chess.
