Traps, Tricks & Mistakes: Trapped Queens

Trapping the opponent’s queen is one of the most exciting combinations in chess. They may happen at any moment along the game and even right in the opening. Top players know by heart many of those early combinations and try to set those traps whenever possible. Beginners are the main candidates to fall into them.

Unusual openings are good weapons to surprise beginner players because they can make mistakes very easily. The next example corresponds to one of them in the Alapin opening.
