Nairobi Chess Club (NCC) is proud to announce its first OTB event of 2024 starting with the highly popular and expected Capablanca Cup.
The 14th edition of the Capablanca Cup will take place the weekend of 27/28 January 2024.
The venue will be the NCC site at Goan Gymkhana, situated along Ngara Road opposite the National Museum of Kenya.
This event is FIDE rated and will have four sections: Open, Ladies, U1800 and U1600.
The novelty this year is a section specially devoted to Ladies players.

As in previous editions, this year’s edition is sponsored by long time supporter of Nairobi Chess Club, Dr Mujahid Din and his Family in honour of his late dad Mohamed Younis Din who was a chess aficionado in his days.
The event boasts a total prize fund of KES 75,000.
