Lichess was the platform for the match. Games used a time control of 25 min + 10 s increment.
The match consisted of 2 games/player (Black & White) against the same opponent. FIDE ratings served for pairing the players.
The result of the match was 13,5-6,5 for Nairobi Chess Club.
Fortunately, the match evolved smoothly. Some participants are even veterans, having taken part in previous online matches. No big issues arose during the match and they were quickly solved by both sides:
- The game on board 2 started with some delay because Manua Rosamel from Réunion had initially bad internet connection
- On board 5 Satya Shroff from Nairobi joined late because he had a last minute trip outside Nairobi and came back delayed.
All in all the games proceeded in a friendly atmosphere and even some players who finished their games early decided to play an extra casual rapid game. That was the case with Leonard and his opponent Akhmadjon.
